Side effects of isoniazid
peripheral neuritis
rash
fever
counselling points of isoniazid
- taken on an empty stomach
- stop treatment if patient experiences consistent nausea, vomitting, tiredness, jaundice, fever or rash

antimycrobacterials
Side effects of rifampicin
arthralgia and myalgia
headache
Counselling points of rifampicin
- tell you doctor immediately if you easily bruise or bleed
- can cause bodily fluids to have an orange colour, but it is harmless
- do not wear contact lenses
Side effects of Pyrazinamide
- arthralgia (joint pain)
- hyperuricemia (excess uric acid in blood)
Contraindication of Pyrazinamide
- acute gout
Counselling points Pyrazinamide
- take with or without food
- stop treatment if you get continuous symptoms
