soomro et al conducted a meta analysis of 17 studies comparing SSRI to a placebo. the conclusion was that SSRI was more effective in reducing symptoms for up to 3 months.

tricyclic - erectile dysfunction- 10% patients and aggression in 1%
ssri - blurred vision and loss of sex drive.
Bz-tremors, drowsiness, confusion.
this makes patients not want to take them
