Why is it important for businesses to align training and the business objectives?

A

If they do this, this will enable the employees to be able to achieve the goals set out as the employeees have been trained to do so.
Eg- Business objective= Best customer service
-Training in customer service for employees will boost their interaction/people skills and also teach them how to solve issues.

Define Training Needs Analysis (TNA)

A

Is an analysis of the business which determines which employees need training, type of training required and how the training should be conducted.

Define on the job training

A

Is where an employee learns at their workplace, often while performing their actual job.
Eg- Coaching job- experienced employee trains new staff.
-Job rotation- employees learn while performing the tasks.
-Understudy- new employee watches experienced employee perform the activities.
