Recycling saves money because it uses less energy than extracting new metal.

Why is recycling metal good for the environment?
A
Mining and extracting metals uses a lot of energy which come from burning fossil fuels. This causes pollution. Recycling metals uses much less energy and so causes less pollution. Recycling also cuts down on pollution by reducing the amount of metal that goes to landfill.
