Q

Describe how you could test effectiveness of indigestion tablets in a lab.

A

You could test how much acid a single tablet can neutralise. You can do this by dissolving a tablet in water in a conical flask and adding acid a bit at a time using a bursts. Use an indicator to tell when the solution has been neutralised. Record the volume of acid added to the conical flask. A more effective tablet will neutralise more acid.
