What are the environmental effects of using limestone as a building material?

A

E.g. quarrying makes large holes which change the landscape. / quarrying processes produce a lot of noise and dust. / quarrying destroys wildlife habitats. / the lorries used to transport the limestone cause noise and pollution. / energy is needed to process the limestone. As this energy is likely to come from burning fossil fuels it will cause pollution.
