usability
usability is the extent to which a product can be used by specified users to achieve specific goals effectively.
objectives
Usefulness: The product enables users to achieve the goals that it was designed to carry out
Effectiveness: The product is easy to use and it can be used with few or no errors
Learnability: The system for operating the product is easy to learn and users can understand how to use it after a reasonable amount of training. Easy to re-learn as well.
Attitude: User’s perception, feelings and opinions of the product.
Intuitive logic and organisation
Intuitive product interfaces make sense for the user - they do not require any special training or require much memorization to use.
Low memory burden
Successful designs do not require the user to memorise complex steps or how to use a device
Mapping
Relates to the correspondence between the layout of the controls and their required action.
Simplicity
Most consumers want a product that is simple and easy to use.
