define: Skinner’s two-response concepts of self-control

A
  • engaging in one behaviour to control or prevent the occurence of a target behaviour
    SKINNER
  • controlling response: behaviour that influences future occurence of the controlled response (self-management behaviour)
  • controlled response: the behaviour that you want to change (Target behaviour)
