Mean - average
add up all the numbers, then divide by how many numbers there are
Mode - most common
the value that occurs most frequently in a given set of data
Median - middle number
smallest to biggest = middle number
Range - difference between the lowest and highest values
biggest - smallest = range
Anomalous results
leave anomalous results out when calculating the mean
Concentration gradient
Gradual difference in concentration of a dissolved substance in a solution between a region of high density and one of lower density.
