Q

what must all BBGs make a note of?

A

All BBGs should make a note of who serves first in the tie-break; whichever side of the court that person is on when the tie-break finishes is where the balls go to if there is a follow on set

Q

what is the tie break equivalent to and therefore

A

Think of the tie-break as one game, so which ever player served first in the tie-break, has to be the receiver at the start of the next set

Q

what is a triple change?

A

as ball transfer always happens on odds in a tie break e.g. 5 and 7 and players change ends on multiples of 6 so the balls need to be transferred 3 times

Q

what should happen on the first 2 points of a triple change?

A

On the first two points of the ‘triple change’ (points 5/6), the centres should hold one ball each if possible, so they are ready to send the ball to the opposite end immediately, or feed the player

Q

what happens on a match tie break?

A

These are all the best of three sets. If a match reaches one set all, a match tie-break replaces the third set
