Q

what happens to the balls at the end of the match?

A

Eventually, all the balls need to be collected, placed in their tins and put into the old ball bag. Unless the players linger for a really long time, it is better to wait until they have left the court before collecting the balls

Q

where do the bases roll the balls?

A

First, the bases need to ensure that the balls they have are on the umpire’s side of the court
So RB2 rolls any balls they have to RB1 and LB2 rolls any balls they have to LB1

12
Q

how do the bases roll the balls into the centres?

A

Then, if necessary and ensuring that they don’t get in the way of the players, RB1 rolls any balls they have into the RC (RB1 does so from their normal position) and LB1 brings in any balls they have to the LC
NB: If all the balls are at one end of the court, then it’s probably necessary to roll some balls to the centre before rolling across, to avoid the base on the umpire’s side being overloaded
