And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
God wants to make disciples from every ethnic nation
What does the big picture look like in Mark 16:15
And He said to them, Go into all the world
and preach the gospel to all creation.
God wants every living person to hear the Gospel
What does the big picture look like according to the Joshua project.
Probably about 12.5%
of the world’s
population are true
believers in Jesus Christ.
That means that about 933,127,000 worldwide are
true believers in Jesus.
Which means that 87.5% of the world’s
population or 6,531,889,000 are without Christ and headed for an eternity of separation from Him and suffering in hell.
The Joshua Project estimates that 3,147,293,000 of them are in 6,992 unreached people groups which have little or no access to the gospel.
According to Jeremiah 32:27, is the great commision too big of a task, is it impossible?
Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh;
is anything too difficult for Me?
Acts 16:9 -10
9 During the night Paul had a vision of a man of Macedonia standing and begging him, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” 10 After Paul had seen the vision, we got ready at once to leave for Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them.
Ephesians 2:10

beforehand so that we would walk in them.
Must have a vision of what God wants to accomplish in the world through your ministry
Acts 16:6-10

Ephesians 2:10

Just as God directed paul’s ministry, to do the things that God has prepared for him to do before hand. We must ask God for his vision for our ministry and not depend on our own plans or desires.
Proverbs 19:21
“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.”
James 4:13-17
13 Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” 14 Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. 15 Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.” 16 As it is, you boast in your arrogant schemes. All such boasting is evil. 17 If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them.
You must pray
JAMES 5:16-18.
The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours; and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the earth
for three years and six months. Then he prayed again, and the sky poured rain and the earth produced its fruit.
Matthew 9:37-38
Then He said to His disciples, The harvest is
plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore
beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out
workers into His harvest.
- You must believe God for “impossible” things
Matthew 19:26
25 When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, “Who then can be saved?” 26 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Ephesians 3:20-21.
Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly
beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever.
3 things you need to fullfill the great commission
- You must have a vision of what God wants to accomplish through you and your ministry
- You must pray that God will send out his workers
- You must trust God for impossible things
