Q

What was the tabernacle? Why did they make it? What was it for?

A

The tabernacle was a portable home for God/place for worship in the time of the Israelites’ trek to the promised land. They made it so they could always have access to God, make sacrifices, and receive things from him. Only holy people, like priests, Levites, Aaron, and Moses were allowed in. God told Moses to make this on Mt. Sinai

Q

What was the temple? Why did they make it? What was it for? What was the layout like?

A

The temple was a permanent resting place for God to be with his people. It was basically the sequel to the tabernacle. God didn’t need this to be with his people, but he deserved it, and that’s what mattered. It was like a mini garden of Eden in the way that it was a dedicated place for God and his people to coexist. It was for praise, worship, sacrifices, and receiving from God. It had multiple sections, and the deeper you went, the holier it was, and the holier you had to be to go in it
