Q

What was the premise of the ‘Exodus Decoded’ movie? What are some theories it brought up?

A

The premise of the movie was providing scientific theories/methods to explain how God executed the ten commandments. It was in no way against the Bible being real, it was just using science to prove ways God could’ve made it all happen, other than just ‘magic’. The main theories of the movie revolved around the case that the Israelites’ time in Egypt took place before we believed, and was anciently recorded differently than we originally thought, and the ten plagues/parting of the red sea were a product of a chain reaction started with the shifting of tectonic plates not too far away

Q

Who was Moses? Who was Aaron? Who was Pharaoh? What were the circumstances of their relationship?

A

Moses was a loyal servant to God, and the one who carried out God’s plan for his people and lead Israel in Exodus. Aaron was Moses’ brother, and his ‘sidekick’ in getting the Israelites out of Egypt. He was the one to help and believe in God and Moses, even when the other Israelites didn’t. Pharaoh was the leader of the Egyptians, and the one who continuously doubted the power of God, and the loyalty and persistence of Moses and Aaron. He refused to let the Israelites out of slavery until the final plague happened
