What are two important differences between the House and the Senate?

A

Difference 1: House members must be twenty-five years of age and citizens for seven years. Senators are at least thirty years old and citizens for nine years.

Difference 2: Another difference is who they represent. Senators represent their entire states, but members of the House represent individual districts.

Why does Congress limit the power of the president and the military?

A

President: Congress does what is necessary and proper to carry out power (This means that they decide whether or not the power of the president may be approved)

Military: To prevent the armed force from staging a coup or seizing control of the government (cannot make treaties or war.)
