  1. umbilical region - middle of the abdomin
  2. epigastric region - above (superior to) the stomach
    & umbilibal region
  3. hypogastric region - below (inferior to) the stomach
    and umbilical region
  4. right inguinal (or right iliac) region - right side of the
    hypogastric region
  5. right hypochondriac region - right of the epigastric
    region
  6. left hypochondriac region - left of the epigastric
    region
  7. left inguinal (or left iliac) region - left side of the
    hypogastric region
  8. right lumbar region - lateral to the umbilical region
    on the right side
  9. left lumbar regiion - lateral to the umbilical region on
    the left side
