A
- Don’t give if they are pregnant or nursing (lactating)
- Do not give with cow’s milk
- do not give to children under the age of 12

nursing teaching after taking tetracyclines?
A
SIT UP FOR 30 MINUTES AFTER TAKING=do not lay down due to heart burn and scarring of the esophagus

- avoid calcium products like: milk and cheese
- no antacids like tums or milk of magnesium
- no iron
- use sunscreen due to sun burns
- causes teeth discoloration
- use additional contraceptives since it decreases the effectiveness of oral contraceptives. many accidental pregnancies have been caused.
