What is the Conflict of Interest standard for the City?
No employee/relative shall have financial interest in any sale to the City of land, materials, supplies, equipment or services unless sale complies with bidding requirements.
What will happen to contracts with the City that pose a conflict of interest?
Contract will be voided by City Manager.
If a City employee has a substantial interest in any contract/decision to the City, who must the employee contact?
The employee must contact his/her department head or Deputy City Mgr (employee will file a notice of interest with City Clerk, and a copy with City Attorney).

What happens to an employee who violates the “conflict of interest” guidelines?
- punitive disciplinary actions, up to and including termination
- any violation with knowledge of the person/entity contracting WITH the City, shall render contract void by the City
