Tendon Structure and Function Flashcards
1
Q
Describe the structures, compositions and functions of aponeuroses and tendons.
A
- Aponeurosis is an extremely delicate, thin sheath-like structure, which attaches muscles to the bones whereas tendons are tough, rounded cord-like structures which are extensions of the muscle.
