Systems - Pressurization Flashcards
When you press the EMER DEPRESS button, how does it depressurize the airplane (200)?
When EMER DEPRESS is selected, both outflow valves open. Above 15,000ft. the Altitude limiter will prevent cabin altitude from exceeding 14250 +/- 750ft
When you press the EMER DEPRESS button, how does it depressor the airplane (700/900)?
The manual DC motor will drive the outflow valve fully open. The microprocessor restricts the cabin altitude to a maximum of 14,500 +/- 500ft
How many pressure controllers do we have?
Three. One manual controller and two automatic CPCs which control all automatic phases of pressurization. Only one CPC is active at any time, the other is in standby mode.
Do the pressure controllers change, and if so when?
Pressure controllers automatically change after aircraft has been on the ground for 3 minutes. In case of a failure of the current Pressure Controller, automatic changeover occurs.
Can we change the Pressure Controllers Manually?
Yes, by pressing the PRESS CONTROL switchlight twice on the CABIN PRESS control many will select the other auto controller. Selecting it once will put the aircraft into manual pressurization mode.
What system will automatically deploy the passenger oxygen masks and when (200)?
CPAM - Cabin Pressure Acquisition Module: IF cabin altitude reaches 14,000ft, Pass Oxy masks are deployed automatically by the CPAM> In the event of CPAM failure, the standby pressure controller assumes functions of the CPAM but will not deploy the masks.
What system will automatically deploy the passenger oxygen masks and when (700/900)?
Cabin Pressure Control Panel microprocessor will deploy the masks if cabin pressure reaches 14,000 ft.
