Why do we have a gravity crossflow system and if so, when would we use it?

In the event that the automatic and manual power fuel crossflow functions fail, fuel balance symmetry may be maintained using the Gravity XFLOW line.

Does the 700/900 have tis own fuel pump for the APU or does it share?
A
It has a dedicated pump.

If we operating a long flight, when is fuel transferred ou of the center tank.
A
When a wing tank fuel level drops to 94% in a 200 or 93% in a 700/900 of its capacity, the FSC initiates a transfer by opening the appropriate fuel transfer valve. When the wing tank is full, the FSC commands the transfer valve closed.
