Q

Is the use of APU bleed air for wing anti-ice permitted?

A

Use of APU Bleed Air for wing anti-ice is not permitted.

24
Q

The use of AP or FD in __ __ or ___ mode is not permitted inside the FAF or below 1000ft AGL on a visual approach?

A

OPEN DES
DES

25
Q

Autolands are not authorized on runways less than __ ft wide?

A

148ft

26
Q

Autolands are approved for CONFIG 3 and CONF FULL. What config is recommmended for all autokands to maximize forward slant range?

A

CONF FULL

27
Q

Autolands are prohibited if braking action is reported less than?

A

Medium

28
Q

If one or more of the autoland requirements cannot be met, may an approach still be conducted if the weather is below 1/2 mile or 2400rvr?

A

Yes. If the autoland requirements cannot be met (ex. strong crosswind). A non-autoland CAT 1 may conducted down to the lowest authorized CAT 1 Mins (1800 RVR or as published).

29
Q

When should you use LOW vs MED autobrakes for an autoland? Are autobrakes required for all CAT 3 approaches?

A

Runways less than 8000ft - Medium
Runways more than 8000ft - LOW or Med.
(If Autobrakes are available they are required for al CAT 3 approaches)

30
Q

Minimum engine oil quantity?

A

CEO A/C - 9.5qt + .5qt per every hour of est flight time.
320 NEO - Highest of 10.6 qt or 9.qt + .5 qt for every hour of est flight time.
321 NEO - OAT at or above -30C - 14qt; OAT below -30C 16.5 qt

31
Q

Min oil temp to start the engines?

A

-40C

32
Q

Min Fuel for TO?

A

3300lbs
(Fuel related ecams must appear for TO)

33
Q

Is taxi with deflated tires permitted?

A

Yes, given certain conditions in VOL 2 are satisfied. (Sec 2.10)

34
Q

When might you consider inhibiting the ROPS function?

A

A/C (394-399, 601-699) - The ROPS function may be inhibited for specific app procedures whcih have previously been identified as potentially producing undue ROW alerts.
A/C (389-393) - When a runway identified as incompatible with ROPS by CBI (crew breifing item) or AIP. The ROPS may be inhibited when the aircraft position is less than 15NM from the airfield when:
- For specific app procedures which have previously been identified as potentially producing undue ROW alerts.
- If a NOTAM displaces the landing threshold (shortened landing distance available)

35
Q

How do you inhibit the ROPS function?

A
  • ROW/ROP pb-sw set to OFF on SURV panel OR
  • TERR pb set to OFF on GPWS Panel
