Q

How do we learn

A

The response of the brain to environmental events to involves events and involves adaptive changes in synaptic connectivity which will, in turn, alter behavior

Q

Outline how memories are formed

A

There is a group of cells connected to each other called the cell assembly which represents an environmental stimulus internally e.g. a circle. When the stimulus is present these cells are activated and this activation lingers on after the stimulus is removed and Hebbian modification strengthens the reciprocal connections.
