The belief that the soul does not die and the soul is the non-physical, spiritual part of a person sometimes called the human mind

What do most christians think about the soul?
The soul is immortal and we will have a glorified body. They believe that when the body dies, the soul leaves the body to live with God.It is an essence of the person and continues in everlasting life in heaven, hell or purgatory.
What do other christians think about the soul?
The body and soul are one and cannot be separated. After death the soul is temporarily apart from the body but will be reunited on judgement day where we will rise bodily from the dead like Jesus.
How does this change a catholics life?
They will have a religious funeral service which reminds people of death and resurrection of Jesus through the music and the eulogy This will help them live in hope that they will be reunited with their loved one’s soul again.
Catholics would pray to God, thanking him for sending his Son Jesus so they have the chance for an eternal life and resurrection at the end of time.
What do humanists think of death as the end of personal existence?
Most Humanists and Atheists are materialists. They view that nothing else exists apart from matter or material and humans are just a physical body.
This means that there is no soul and everyone is made out of matter like the rest of the world.
This means that we should make the most of it as they believe that we only have one life and there is no life after death.
What do Sikhs and Hindus believe?
They believe in reincarnation.
They believe at death the soul passes to a new body and how you are reborn depends on the good or bad actions in this life.
People are reborn countless times in many different ways.
