Side effects of Sulfonamides

• hemolytic and aplastic anemia as well as thrombocytopenia
• photosensitivity, steven’s johnson syndrome, epidermal necrolysis, & exfoliative dermatitis
• convulsion, crystalluria, toxic nephrosis, peripheral neuritis, and urticaria
• MUST INCREASE FLUIDS TO AT LEAST 1200 CC/DAY
