What is sublimation used to separate?

A

Used to separate a solid which sublimes from a mixture of solids.

What is an example of sublimation?

A

A mixture of sodium chloride (table salt) and ammonium chloride can be separated this way as ammonium chloride can sublime ( ie, change from a solid to a gas).
