A
  • Inability to recognize familiar faces
  • Often due to occipito-temporal lobe damage
  • Patients can use other senses (such as hearing a familiar voice) to help recognize a person

A
  • Unconscious denial, neglect, or lack of insight/awareness of the presence or severity of one’s paralysis/condition
  • Associated with right CVA, as well as mental illnesses and dementia
