- Used for conditions such as arthritis (JRA or RA), chronic pain, and hemiparesis
2
Q
Wrist Cock-Up
A
- Provides extra stability for the wrist
3
Q
Neoprene Thumb Loop Splint

- Helps reduce spasticity and enable an optimal position to pick up and hold toys
4
Q
Ulnar Deviation Orthosis
A
- Prevents drift of the metacarpophalangeal joints toward the small finger (“ulnar drift”)
- Uses finger separators to position fingers in alignment at the MCP joints

A
- Used to prevent wrist drop
- Functional splint
- Positions wrist at 45 degrees of extension during day
6
Q
Restriction Splint
A
- Limits range of motion but does NOT fully restrict movement
7
Q
Immobilization Splint

- Fully restricts movement of a joint or bone
- Designed to encourage rest and reduce pain and inflammation
