A
- Antagonist for Dopaminergic receptors
- Antagonist for Histaminergic, cholinergic and Alpha 1 receptors

Indications of stemitil
A
- Nausea and vomiting in >21 year olds(vestibular nausea, allergy/CI to ondansetron)
- Headache

Stemitil Contraindications
A
- CNS depression (Unconscious or Severely Intoxicated)
- Age < 21

Stemitil Precautions
A
- Elderly Patients
- Parkinson’s Disease (Can worsen Parkinsomal symptoms)

Stemitil Adverse effects
A
- CNS: Sedation, blurred vision
- CV: Postural Hypotension, QT prolongation (rare)
- Other: Extrapyramidal reactions

What does Extrapyramidal mean?
A
- Abnormal Movements
- Dystonia (Continous spasms and muscle contractions)
- Akathisia (restlessness)
