Ondansetron Precautions

A
  • Pregnancy 1st trimester
  • Congenital Long QT syndrome (Dose-dependent effect)
  • Severe Hepatic disease (Cirrhosis) maximum daily intake 8mg
  • ODT may contain aspartame which should be avoided in patients with phenylketonuria

2nd and 3rd Trimester- Only in SEVERE and benefits outweigh risks
