they are used to treat Leukemia and stargardt’s disease

What are pros and cons of getting stem cells from embryo’s?
Pros and cons of embryo stem cells
Pro: unlimited growth, less change of damage
con: risk of tumour cells, likely genetically different, removal can kill
What are pros and cons of getting stem cells from umbilical cord?
Pros and cons of umbilical cord stem cells
pro: easily obtained & stored, perfect compatibility
con: less chance to be different, limited qualities
What are pros and cons of getting stem cells from bone marrow
pros and cons of bone marrow stem cells
pro: less change of tumour cells, fully compatible removal doesn’t kill
con: difficult to get, less growth potential
What is leukemia?
Leukemia is a cancer cause by excessive white blood cell production
What is stargardts disease?
Stargardts disease is a vision issue due to a recessive mutation, membrane and protein/ retina cell malfunctions
