0.05 or 5%. Level at which researcher decide findings significant and reject null hypothesis, could employ stricter significance level though. Can never find statistical certainty, so 5% sufficient.

When this test performed it generates a calculated value to be compared with critical value (given in table). To allocate critical value for data, need to know the significance level, number of pps, and whether hypothesis directional or non-directional. The calculated value needs to be equal or lower than critical value for signifiance.
