Measures of Central Tendency Flashcards

A
AVERAGE! Calculated by adding all values together then dividing by total number of values. Most sensitive as includes all values. Most representative of data as a whole. Easily distorted by extreme values.

Median
A
MIDDLE VALUE! Easy to calculate and extreme scores don’t effect it. Less sensitive than mean as actual values ignored.
