Q

Strength

A

Rich, detailed insights.
Found KF’s forgetting of auditory letters was greater than visual.
Greater insight into memory and gave way for new model of WMM. Provided contradictory to MSM.
However… idiographic approach so not generalisable.
However… also encouraged further research using nomothetic approach like dual tasks which can be generalised.

Q

Weakness

A

Internal validity issues.
Researching after event.
No control over more variables so confounding ones, so lacks internal validity. Makes hard if no supporting research.
Furthermore… gets closely involved so display bias which may mean subjective.
