Minimum staffing is 2 CFRD members . Can be 2,firefighters or an officer and a firefighter.
How many Cfr-d members do you need to have before the tour starts?
Ensure 2 firefighters will be working
Do you respond with one Cfrd member if you receive a verbal from a civilian at quaters?
Yes always respond to verbals from public
How many members does a CPC unit need to operate?
Need one trained officer and 5 trained members
How many SOC support ladder members do you need to start the tour?
One trained officer and 3 trained members.
How many members do you need in a Decon Engine to start the tour?
One trained officer and 3 trained firefighters
How many members does a HMTU need to start the tour?
One officer and 4 trained firefighters
When does a unit get placed out of service?
Only officer and Chauffeur
But they shall still respond to verbal alarms
When an understaffed unit arrives on scene and they are the only unit what shall they do?
Take a defensive position
If a ladder co is responding with 4 FF how firefighters what do they tell the dispatcher?
We are responding with 4 FF
If a any unit is responding with less than 4 FF what do they tell the dispatcher?
Responding understaffed
When there is only one unit on the scene and they are understaffed what shall they do?
Take a defensive position
If your in a double house and one company needs someone to wait relief can a member from the other company be ordered to wait in the other company?
Yes
If a company in a double house has a member Awaiting relief and the company is going to training can a member from the other company be ordered to go to training and the awaiting member to his company?
Yes
How many years does a member need to have to be detailed to rescue or squad?
5 years
If your truck company is going to loose an outside member which one should it be?
Up to ladder officer according to there response area.
And you have to update EBF4
If your company is riding short an you pull up to something and decide that your OV duties are needed and you have no OV you can order the roof man to do this, what position are you going to contact this member by?
By the position on the riding list
If your responding understaffed and there is heavy radio traffic and you can’t get through to dispatcher what shall you do?
Transmit an urgent message and let dispatch no your responding understaffed
If you have an officer an a chauffeur are you in service?
No O.O.S.

If a member is going to switch to another members position (ie.ov to roof) due to a leave during the tour what has to be done by officer and member?
Ebf4 has to be updated and the member swapping positions must use the new positions tools mask and radio
What are 4 units that need to have two school trained chauffeurs?

If a foam unit has one school trained chauffeur and one company trained chauffeur they are good. But if in there was a member in another unit in the same house that is school trained will he be swapped into that company as the back up chauffeur ?
Yes always want school trained if possible and it’s not gonna cost the city any money portal to portal
Who drives the second piece when a company goes to get it?
The back up chauffeur . The regular guy drives his rig
