Local partners

A
  • SE works with a number of local partners to try and ensure that sport is accessible across every region in the country.
  • They invest in 49 county sport partnerships spread across the country so that programmes can be delivered regionally and locally to meet specific local needs.

These CSPs are now called Active Partnerships.

  • To help them achieve their mission, SE committed themselves to over £1 billion of National Lottery and Exchequer funding to:
    1. Help more people to have a sporting habit for life.
    2. Create more opportunities for young people to play sport.
    3. Nurture and develop talent.
    4. Provide the right facilities in the right place.
    5. Support local authorities and unlock local funding.
    6. Ensure real opportunities for communities.
