What do spinal nerves do?
Sends info from peripheral sensory receptors to spinal cord and sends info from spinal cord to effectors

Cervical Nerves - 8 Thoracic nerves - 12 Lumbar nerves - 5 Sacral nerves - 5 Coccygeal nerves - 1
Define plexus
A network of nerves or vessels in the body

Where is the cervical plexus?
C1-C5
Where is the brachial plexus?
C5-T1
Where is the lumbar plexus?
L1-L4
Where is the sacral plexus?
L4-S4
What is the phrenic nerve?
C3-C5
Why is the phrenic nerve important?
Keeps the diaphragm alive
What nerves make up the brachial plexus?
Axillary, musculocutaneous, radial, median and ulnar
What does the axillary nerve innervate
deltoid and teres minor
Where does the median nerve innervate
Flexors of forearm (except carpi ulnaris), some hand muscles
Where does the musculocutaneous nerve innervate
brachialis and biceps brachii
Where does the radial nerve innervate
triceps brachii and extensors of forearm
