observation frequency- sudden deteroriate
equipment avaliability- demand

When should the inhlant agent be terminated for reptiles?
15-20mins before
Why do reptiles have a low metabolism rate?
cannot thermoregulate
When should rabbits be provided food and water after surgery?
immediatley- prevents gut stasis
syringe/ hay
What is the extubation requirements for a dog?
deflate cuff when able to swallow- prevents aspiration
What is the extubation requirements for a cat?
just before regain swallow ability- risk of laryngeal spasm- blow on ear
What are some exceptions when removing IV catheters?
post-op medications, IM
seizures- 2 Ivs
risk of airway obstriction
agressive patients- take IV out before mobilised
