What is an Exlap surgery?
A
opening up the abdomen, observing any problems- unknown cause

What are the nursing considerations?
A
Airway/ breathing- compress diaphragm
Fluid balance/ ongoing losses- IVFT, rates/ select- blood loss
Body temp- hypothermia
Analgesia- methadone
Wound management- prior/post surgery- plaster/ bandaging?
