How does hypovolaemic shock affect the body?

A

loss of BP detected in baroreceptors- stroke (beats/min)
cardiac output increases contracitility
increase % of blood out of heart- each beat

How is vasocontstriction applied?

A

re-routes blood to vital organs, temp increaes BP (short term)- coping mechansim
IVFT needed!!- BP will reduce

Hypovolaemic treatment-

A

overload
prevent further loss- anti-emtic
fluid replacement- crystalloid/ whole bloods- neccessary on top of crystalloids
