What was the sample used and how did we get it?
Opportunity sample - 11 (16-39) year olds and 9 40+
What was the procedure?
- Gave questionnaires to 3 older people and 3 younger people
- Collected them back in
- Conducted thematic analysis on open questions
- Conucted standard deviation on closed questions and the results of thematic analysis
Give an open question that was used
“Are you offended by homosexual acts? Explain why”
Give a closed question that was used
“How would you feel if a family member revealed they were a homosexual?”
How were the results analysed?
- Looked over all of the open questions and created themes (e.g. positive response)
- Categorised the answers into these themes
- Collected quantitative data from closed questions and thematic analysis
- Used standard deviation to calculate the results
Give 2 quantitative results
Standard deviation:
Old - 31.1
Young - 27.6
Give 2 qualitative results
Old said they found homosexual acts immoral
