A
A plane is an imaginary flat surface running through the body.

An axis is an imaginary line at right angles to the plane, about which the body rotates or spins.

Sagittal plane
A
an anatomical plane which divides the body into right and left parts. The plane may be in the center of the body and split it into two halves or away from the midline and split it into unequal parts.

A longitudinal plane is any plane perpendicular to the transverse plane
