Melatonin ***
Naturally producing hormone that regulates sleep-wake cycle. May be helpful in resetting circadian rhythms and improve sleep
Magnesium **
Helps to regulate neurotransmitters involved in sleep and relaxation. May improve sleep quality by reducing stress and promoting muscle relaxation
Valerian Root **
May increase gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) levels in the brain, promoting relaxation and sleep
L-Theanine **
May promote relaxation without drowsiness (good for any time of day). Combines with GABA it has shown to decrease sleep latency, increase sleep duration and quality. Has some use in anxiety/Stress
Glycine **
Studies have shown that glycine before bed helps people reach deep sleep more quickly and improves overall sleep quality by stabilizing sleep rhythms.
Chamomile *
Contains apigenin, which binds to benzodiazepine receptors in the brain, potentially promoting relaxation
GABA *
its a inhibitory neurotransmitter in the brain. May protect against overstimulation or excitement of the brain, creating a calming effect which is important for mood, sleep, chronic stress, and brain function.
5-HTP *
Is used to support mood, through the ability to boost serotonin levels. Since serotonin and melatonin are involved in sleep-wake cycle, 5-HTP can also enhance sleep quality.
