Wake up but body is still in REM sleep mode. Muscle tone stays flat, can’t move

REM sleep without muscle paralysis, very violent movements during sleep

A
Sudden onset of REM sleep

A
In Deep sleep, often automatic behaviour (walking around, driving etc )
most often occurs in sleep deprevation
More prevalent in young children
