Experiment on the categorical boundary. Experiment w 100% cats and 100% dogs, with gradual change.

Found that the matching of the stimulus shows activation of category rather than the gradual change in shape. Response during delay phase is either dog or cat (strict category boundary)

The ICT DOES show gradual reaction So yes: the PFC has ability to encode abstract concepts
