non inflammed build up of dead cells, sebum and debris inside follicles

Define acne
Acne is an inflammatory condition of the sebacious glands
Decribe how acne works
excess sebum clogs follicles causing comedones, papules pustules and cysts
The p.acne bacteria grows in anerobic environments, pressure is exerted on follicle walls causing rupturing
of debris into dermis
inflammation and white blood cells go to fight infection
Grades of Acne
Grade 1: minor breakouts
Grade 2 : comany comedones, occasional papules and pustules
Grade 3: Many comedones, Inflammed and red papules and pustules
Grade 3: cystic acne

Describe melasma
pigmentaion disorder related to estrogen characterized by hyperpigmentaion in a syympetrical pattern on cheeks upper lip and chin

Hyperpigmentation that results after healing from and injury or lesion or as a result of a treatment where too high of an energy was used
