Clean-contaminated wounds
Surgical wounds where respiratory, GI, genital or urinary tract have been entered. No evidence of infection
Contaminated wound
Open, fresh, accidental wounds. Major break in sterile technique. Shows inflammation

Dead tissue, infection, drainage

Tissue softened by prolonged wetting or soaking
