Skill Acquisition - Types And Methods Of Practice Flashcards

1
Q

What is the part method?

A

Breaking the skill up into parts
- used for low organisation skills that can be split into sub routines
- can be used for complex skills, allows the performer to make sense of the skill and achieve the basic movement
- it can be useful for learning a dangerous skill
- the performer gains confidence by learning each element separately then brining it all together
