Six Ways To Make People Like You Chapter 4: Flashcards
Do this and you will be welcome anywhere:
Become interested in other people instead of trying to get them interested in you
What did Alfred Adler say?
It is the individual who is not interested in others, who has the greatest difficulties in life and provides the greatest injury to others.
If you want to make friends:
Put yourself out to do things for other people that require time, energy, unselfishness and thoughtfulness
Ways to show you are interested in others:
- Remember their birthdays
- Greet them with enthusiasm and interest when you meet them or when they call you on your phone. (To show how pleased you are to have them call)
If you want others to like you, and to develop real friendships while helping others as well as yourself remember this Principle 1:
Become genuinely interested in other people (A show of interest must be sincere)
