1) Directive behavior
- one-way communication
- help followers to achieve goals with a similar direction
- leader needs to communicate goal, define timeline and methods on how to accomplish them
2) Supportive behavior
- two way communication
- leader needs to seek for input, moderate, problem solve and praise/listen to people
Development levels: (Situational Leadership)
Directive (Task Behavior) vs Support (Relationship Behavior) leadership:
directing, coaching, supporting, delegating
Which follower groups:
D1: low competence, high commitment and confidence
D2: low competence, low commitment and confidence
D3: moderat competence, low commitment and confidence
D4: high competence, high commitment and confidence
